Charles E. Anthony Memorial Zipper Open

The Central Michigan Community Hospital Zipper Open Golf Outing has grown
to be the largest charity outing in Isabella County. The Zipper Open is
hosted on two championship golf courses, with play running concurrently.
At the conclusion of golf, players from Buck’s Runs join participants at
The PohlCat for a buffet luncheon, awards program, live auction and the
annual Great Golf Ball Drop.

Jeri Reid Ladies Golf Clinic

LPGA Member Jeri Reid, a golf instructor and
pro at The PohlCat Championship Golf Course, hosts a Ladies Golf Clinic to
benefit the Norval K. Morey Cancer Center at Central Michigan Community
Hospital. Members of the clinic participate in golf "stations", receive
personalized instruction, and enjoy a motivational luncheon speaker.

Amy Otteman Memorial Classic

The Amy Otteman Memorial Classic (AOMC), which
has raised more than $150,000 in the last 13 years, will be held at the
Riverwood Golf Resort. This year's event will be the 14th annual
tournament held in memory of Amy Sue Otteman, who died in 1995 due to
complications from a stroke. At the time of her death, Amy was a
24-year-old oncology nurse at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

LPGA Member Jeri Reid, a golf instructor and
pro at The PohlCat Championship Golf Course, will host a Ladies Golf
Scramble at The PohlCat in August.
August 22
Summer Dance Party 2008

The ninth annual Summer Dance Party 2008 will
take place Friday, August 22 on the main stage of the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mt.
Pleasant. This year’s event will be a fundraiser for Central Michigan
Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, Carson City Hospital in Carson City,
Sheridan Community Hospital in Sheridan, and Sparrow Foundation-Children’s
Miracle Network in Lansing.
Cash bars and two dance floors will be
available throughout the entire event and a raffle will be offered with
several prizes.

Think Pink! Paint for a Cause

At "Let's Do The Dishes" in Mt. Pleasant,
October allows local participants to "Think Pink!" and "Paint For a
Cause". The paint-your-own-pottery studio, owned by Michelle Booher,
hosts an annual fundraiser to benefit the Norval K. Morey Cancer Center at
Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. Several
painting events will be held during October 1 - 4.
