Same Day Surgery
Because of today's advanced medical technology, some surgical procedures do not require a patient to stay overnight at the Hospital. Same Day Surgery allows CMCH to reduce the inconvenience and cost typical of an overnight stay. When a doctor suggests same day surgery, the patient's tests and paperwork are completed prior to the scheduled surgery. The patient is to arrive as instructed, prior to the scheduled time of surgery. After surgery, the patient is monitored closely, in our Same Day Recovery area until the patient has recovered from anesthesia and is able to return home with a family member or friend.
