Do I need an appointment?

No. McLaren-Central Michigan Free Clinic is a walk-in clinic. The Clinic space is available to patients beginning at 5:00 p.m. Please do not enter the building before 5:00 p.m. Upon entering the Clinic, patients are asked to take a number.

What do I need to bring to my first visit?

1. Proof of Isabella County residency -- a driver's license or state-issued ID card showing your current address
2. Proof of income -- pay stubs, unemployment receipts, or your most recent tax return
3. A list of current medications and any other pertinent medical information

I have limited insurance. Can I come to the clinic for services my insurance doesn't cover?

Unfortunately, no. The Free Clinic only serves the uninsured.

Will this cost anything?

What if I need a specialist?

McLaren-Central Michigan Free Clinic provides ongoing primary care. Limited specialty referrals may be available.

You'll need to meet the same needs as other residents - being at or below 225% of the federal poverty level, with no insurance.

Can I get medicines through the clinic?

The Free Clinic will provide assistance in securing medications prescribed by our providers on clinic night. This assistance will include referrals to local pharmacies who offer select discounts, providing samples when available, and guiding patients through pharmaceutical-sponsored medication programs.

What if I need lab work or X-rays?

McLaren-Central Michigan has agreed to provide basic lab and x-ray tests at no-cost for Free Clinic referrals. Financial assistance programs will be used if more complex tests are required.
