| Breast Cancer: A Team Approach
Breast cancer is the most common malignancy found in women. However, feeling a lump or having an abnormality in a mammogram can cause concern. At Central Michigan Community Hospital, our Oncology Physicians and Staff will address your issues as quickly, efficiently and professionally as possible.
The first step is to determine if a lump or the findings of a mammogram are cancerous. If so, a host of physicians will provide input including surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists and pathologists to help define the most optimal treatment plan. At CMCH, we have physicians in all of the areas listed who work together to provide what is necessary for the treatment process.
Physicians meet at least once every two weeks (or sooner, if needed) to discuss all new cancer cases diagnosed at Central Michigan Community Hospital.
