Rehabilitation Services

The main goal of CMCH's Rehabilitation Services team is to promote the healing process, improve patient functioning and prevent re-injury. CMCH will arrange for patients who need speech, physical or occupational therapy to obtain these services following a stroke, injury, surgery, illness or congenital disability.

Physical therapy helps patients regain strength and mobility and independence following an injury or disease. Occupational therapy utilizes goal-oriented activities to prevent and minimize functional limitations and increase independence. Patients who are having, difficulty living independently, because of physical, developmental or other disabilities, may receive occupational therapy services. Speech services will provide evaluations and therapy to patients of all ages who have problems with speech, language, and/or swallowing resulting from a stroke, traumatic brain injury, disease processes or congenital disabilities. Speech therapy also treats memory deficits and/or difficulties.
