The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and Central Michigan Community Hospital are working together to bring radiation therapy to the Norval K. Morey Cancer Center right here in Mt. Pleasant.
The Norval K. Morey Cancer Center will celebrate its 5-year anniversary in September 2010.
To promote anniversary events and the services of the Cancer Center, special BEATING CANCER bracelets are available for a $5 donation. The rubber wrist bands (similar to the LIVESTRONG yellow bracelets) are burgundy in color and read BEATING CANCER - MOREY CANCER CENTER.

Medical Oncology
Medical Oncology at the Norval K. Morey Cancer Center offers expert, quality assesments of patients to help determine the appropriate course of treatment. Services include chemotherapy administration, bone marrow biopsies, and blood transfusions. Our nursing staff is certified through the American Board of Nursing Specialties and maintains Oncology Certification. Our office is staffed with professional oncology nurses who can assist you as you consider your treatment options. Radiation Oncology (University of Michigan partnered)
University of Michigan Radiation Oncology at the Norval K. Morey Cancer Center offers state-of-the-art external beam radiation therapy. Among the services are Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and 3-Dimensional conformal treatment. We use a state-of-the-art General Electric Light Speed CT scanner to aid with tumor localization and treatment planning. The physicians and staff of the Morey Cancer Center use the same clinical protocols and technical expertise as the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
